As part of El Puente Institute’s Hispanic Heritage Month series, What We Carry: How Culture Shapes the Way We Lead, we sat down with Tania Baxter, Executive Director of the Adelante Leadership Institute in Colorado Springs and Chair of the 2026 LIDERAMOS National Leadership Symposium.

Tania shared the work of the Adelante Leadership Institute, its role in developing and strengthening Latino leadership, and what it meant to co-host this year’s LIDERAMOS National Leadership Symposium.

We also explored the vision behind the 2026 theme, Avanzando Juntos: Honoring Legacy. Leading Today. Building Tomorrow., and why culturally grounded spaces for Latino leaders to connect, develop, and build community matter right now.
